As mentioned in my previous two posts covering St. Louis County and St. Charles County, I will be providing monthly market updates of market conditions in the St. Louis region. This report will give you information on some of St. Louis City’s most popular areas.
St. Louis City is made up of numerous ‘neighborhoods’, many of which do not correspond to any officially designated area. And since St. Louis City consists of one large school district, I won’t be dividing the city up by schools. Instead, I have used a mapping function that allows me to define an area on a map for my data analysis.
The data below summarizes only residential properties located within the mapping boundaries that have been listed through the MLS. This data includes single family homes, detached cluster homes, and new construction. It may also include some townhomes and attached villas if they were entered as residential properties rather than condo/cluster properties. Active & Under Contract data is based on December 2, 2007. The data is obtained through MARIS and is deemed reliable but is not guaranteed.
