Below you’ll find the December real estate market statistics for St. Louis City.
St. Louis City is made up of numerous ‘neighborhoods’, many of which do not correspond to any officially designated area. I have used a mapping function that allows me to define an area on a map for my data analysis. I freely admit that the mapping boundaries may differ from other official boundaries designated by the city.
The data below summarizes only residential properties located within the mapping boundaries that have been listed through the MLS.
This data includes single family homes, detached cluster homes, and new construction. It may also include some townhomes and attached villas if they were entered as residential properties rather than condo/cluster properties.Active & Under Contract data is based on January 1, 2008. The data is obtained through MARIS and is deemed reliable but is not guaranteed.

One interesting thing I noticed is the difference in the percentage off that homes are selling for based on the area. Buyers looking for homes in the South City area are getting a much better deal than buyers in other parts of the city even though the homes are selling faster in this area than other parts of the city.
