Feedburner is Finally Taking over my Subscriptions

by Karen Goodman on February 7, 2008

in Everything Else

I know that there are a few of you that have subscribed for updates to my blog, and it warms my heart that you keep coming back to read more of my thoughts.

As I continue to promote this blog in order to get the word out that I’m writing away, I have decided to change the method for subscriptions so that they will go through Feedburner. Unfortunately, those of you that have already subscribed for updates will need to update your subscriptions since the URL address has changed. To update your subscription, click on the RSS or ATOM buttons.

For a reminder of what RSS is and how it works, take a look at my first post including a link to a great video by Commoncraft that makes understanding RSS and subscribing easy.

I subscribe to all of my feeds through bloglines. By using bloglines as your feed ‘in box’, you can access all of the updates from your favorite websites on any computer simply by logging onto bloglines.

One of the main reasons I changed to Feedburner’s service is to improve the way I handle email subscriptions for updates.

If you would like to receive an email each time there is a new post, simply click on the link in the left column located just below the Tags in the News section (with the move from my old blog provider to my current Wordpress site, the links are now located in the top right of the sidebar).

Still confused about how to get updates to my new posts? Send me an email and I’ll talk you through it.

(NOTE: Changing everything over to feedburner also created a temporary glitch in delivering the new posts to people that had already subscribed. So if you missed my January market updates that I put out in the last week, take a look at my last few posts).

If you enjoyed this post, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed!
