Stop Paying for Extra Minutes on your Cell Phone

Verizon Wireless is offering an unlimited minutes plan that might save you money.

Cellphone Stop Paying for Extra Minutes on your Cell PhoneJust to let you know…I use a LOT of minutes. My cell phone is my business phone and I typically need a plan that gives me 2000 minutes a month. Even then, I occasionally go over. An unlimited plan is really appealing.

About 6 months ago I went in search of a new cell phone. I had been with Cingular because I liked their rollover minutes plan, but it was time for a new phone and since most of the wireless phone companies plans are pretty similar, I always pick my cell phone provider by the company that has the phone I want to buy.

Recently a number of clients have started text messaging me on my phone, and a traditional cell phone is really a pain when trying to text back. I looked around and found a Blackberry-like phone, a Motorola Q. It syncs to Outlook so all of my business contacts and calendar are on my cell phone, and I can also get email instantly…plus it has a full keyboard so it is easy to send a text message.

I was paying $134.99 a month for 2000 daytime minutes, unlimited email and internet, and 250 text messages. Last week I got a letter in the mail about the new unlimited plan that is offering unlimited voice minutes for $99.99. I called and was able to keep my cost the same, but upgrade from 2000 minutes to unlimited.

I know that many of you don’t need as many minutes as I do. There may even be other providers that are matching this program. But, if you are like me, and want to be able to talk as much as you want without any worry of paying for extra minutes, you should give Verizon a call.

The plan expires soon, so don’t delay or you’ll miss out.
