Every year, University City hosts a swim party for dogs and their owners just before they close down the Heman Park pool for the season.

This year, the Puppy Pool Party is scheduled for next Saturday, September 6, 2008 from 1 – 4 pm. Your $10 admission gets two people and one dog access to the pool. Additional people are $2 each. Written proof of rabies shots are required.

Click here for pictures from a prior pool party.

A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, September 7, 2008. For more information, call 314-5005-8625.

University City also has an off leash dog park that made the top 10 list of Dog Parks in the U.S. according to Dog Fancy. There are also other area dog parks to give you pooch choices in where to go play.

So get out with your dog and enjoy yourself. If you attend, come back and let me know how your dog liked the water!
