Yesterday I met some great folks at the first Bar Camp St. Louis held at the Cabin Inn bar in the City Museum.
That’s me in the yellow shirt.
I learned lots of new things including the best way to back up my computer files and how to deal with the problem that my laptop always seems to be running out of space.
I also got some great tips from Todd Jordan on using Twitter and he got me up and running. In one day 2 days I’ve already got 6 16 followers!
If you are a Twitter member, please say hello @karenstl.
If you have no idea what Twitter is, check out this video from Commoncraft.
Todd and I finished up the day with an impromptu photo shoot of the City Museum. For a look at all of my pictures, check out the full set on Flickr.
It was a great way to spend a cold December day.

Karen,
Meeting you was great. I learned a thing or two as well from you.
You were also an excellent tour guide on our jaunt around the City Museum. Way to introduce a first timer.
Can’t wait to work with you on fun things.

CM – Thanks for being a wonderful host.
After the event, I took the time to roam around and take pictures. I think that visiting the City Museum on a semi-cold but not freezing winter day is probably the best kept secret in St. Louis. Warm enough to play outside as long as you have on gloves, and a chance to explore without massive crowds.
The City Museum is definitely not just a summer attraction!
