Forest Park’s Boathouse

Forest Park is the gem of St. Louis.

At over 1300 acres, it is 500 acres larger than New York’s Central Park. Located between the Central West End and Washington University, the park is home to many treasures including the Art Museum, History Museum, Zoo, Muny Theater, Jewel Box and an outdoor staking rink.

This video shows Art Hill which is the front lawn of the Art Museum (and the best sledding hill in St. Louis!). At the base of the hill is the Grand Basin. I shot this video today, a brisk November day.

I found people of all generations strolling, biking, walking dogs and kids and napping in the grass. There was even a young guy playing the violin for tips.

Next time you have a lazy afternoon, consider a visit to Forest Park.
