Hiring a real estate agent to help you purchase or sell a property is a big decision.
There were 5,460 real estate agents who closed at least one of the 21,279 sales in St. Louis City, St. Louis County or St. Charles County in 2009. Plus, there are many more licensed agents who didn’t make a sale last year, or work on team and their sales are recorded under another agent’s name.
So how do you choose an agent from the thousands who are are trying to get your business?
There is plenty of advice on the internet about choosing a real estate agent. Here are just a few of the articles that I found by doing a quick Google search.
- About.com – Hiring Buyer’s Agents
- Realtor.com – How to Choose a Realtor
- The Unconditional Blog – How to Choose a Real Estate Agent
- The Phoenix Real Estate Guy – Choosing an Agent from a Lender’s Perspective
I think that all of the things these articles talk about are important. But some agents go above and beyond by doing the little things that make real estate transactions go just a bit more smoothly.
I work hard to be one of those agents.
A couple of weeks ago I recorded a video talking about this subject along with giving you an example of a little thing that every agent should be doing for their clients.
