Farmer’s market season is back and this year there are even more markets to choose from in the St. Louis area.
Maybe you are a farmer market regular, or maybe you just want to pick up the freshest peaches in town during harvest season.
This year I’m going to try to make it to all of the markets in St. Louis City and County. I’d love to hear about your favorite market – just leave a note in the comments.

Love the peach pic. When you come up to Ferguson let’s go together!
Looks like the Troy Waterfront market hyperlink is actually linking to Troy, NY. Here I was excited about a year round farmer’s market out west, but no dice for this one. Please remove. Thanks.
William,
Thanks for catching the error. I removed the NY farmer’s market and did a little more digging. I found some updated information on the Troy, MO market in the Lincoln County paper. Granted, the info is sketchy, but apparently there will be a market in Troy this year.
Hi Karen! Looks like Webster Groves has just approved a farmer’s market. Info from Sauce magazine: http://www.saucemagazine.com/blog/?p=3644
Sappington, open year-round. If you want to expand to metro east, we have Belleville Farmer’s market x2 year-round and Swansea farmer’s market on Thursdays at Mel Price park May-Oct. And probably a lot more.

Great post Karen. I will be making several visits to many of these markets for clients as well as myself.
The Byrnes Mill Farmer’s Market is on Friday afternoons.
Glenda – Thanks for the update!
Thank you so much for posting this! I have just moved back to St. Louis after 8 years away and I was so sad to leave my farmer's market behind. I'm so glad to see such a great list of all the ones available. This is fabulous.
can you tell me of any farmer markets that is opened on sunday. i work tuesdays – saturday early morning until 3 or 3:30p.m. why is everything always closed before this. your help is appreciated.
All I can say is that I think the market’s are open when they find they get customers. Soulard is open until 5:30 on Saturdays, and I think there may be some vendors open at Kirkwood on Sundays. Otherwise, your only weekend alternative would be to go to the Chandler Hill Winery on Sunday afternoons in Defiance.
