It’s been a while since I posted to my St. Louis in Pictures series, but I decided to start it up again to share some of the treasures around St. Louis.
I take a lot of pictures when I’m preparing the marketing for my home listings.
I believe that home buyers care as much about the community where they will live as the exact house they choose. To help buyers see the benefit of my client’s homes, I always share pictures and information about the things that make the location so ideal.
But I end up using just a small number of the pictures that I take in the marketing of the homes. Moving forward, you’ll be seeing all of the pictures in my St. Louis in Pictures series.
White Birch Park:
It was on one of these marketing prep days that I discovered White Birch Park in Hazelwood.
I’ve been to a lot of parks across town, but this park is one of a kind with grassy fields, playgrounds PLUS the community swimming pool, tennis courts, skatepark and disc golf.
The park stretches all the way to the end of my client’s street. There are 2 playgrounds at this end of the park along with a paved path that takes you to the other end of the park.
See home for sale by the park: 956 Altavia Drive
At the main entrance side of the park where parking is located, there is another playground which caters to both older and younger kids. This playground is in view of the swimming pool, so parents at the pool can keep an eye on their kids on the slides.
I don’t know many parks of this size that have 3 separate playground areas.
Swimming Pool and Tennis Courts:
The swimming pool was already closed for the season when I discovered the park, so I wasn’t able to get an good pictures of the pool filled with water. I did snap this one picture that shows off the water slide and the tennis courts.
St. Louis has only a handful of skateparks, and White Birch Park has one of them. I stopped by on a weekday morning when the skate park was empty, but I imagine it is fun to watch when the park fills up with skaters.
Another highlight of the park is the 18 hole disc golf course over 8 acres of woods.
What is Disc Golf?
If you are looking for a way to stay active and make new friends, disc golf might be perfect for you.
Watching this video, I think even uncoordinated me could have fun at this game!
